FAQs
Questions about the product
Q: What tiles do you use?
A: We use regular tiles from the Lowe’s store. Specifically ceramic, tumble marble, and rialto, but we can use any tile that is requested by the customer.
Q: Are the tiles hand painted?
A: No they are not. We use a sublimation process to create the images on each tile which results in them lasting longer and looking shaper and clearer
Q: How durable is the tile on a back splash, and how long does it last in water, and in sunlight (outdoors)?
A: All our products have been carefully tested to hold its color and shine for hot pan, backsplash, and bath for more than three years. It works fine without additional coating. You could also use it outside, but not direct sunlight.
Q: Can these tiles be used outdoors?
A: No, outdoor levels of UV rays will damage the tiles over time.
Q: what is the difference between tumble marble, ceramic tile, and rialto tile?
A: Tumble marble looks like damaged and aged tile, ceramic tile is a very clean looking tile like the once commonly found in bathrooms, and rialto is ceramic tile that looks like tumble marble.
Q: What is the difference in durability between ceramic tiles, tumble marble and rialto tile?
A: There is very little difference in durability on each tile but experts say that ceramic is the least durable, followed by tumble marble, with rialto being the strongest.
Q: How durable are the murals if they are installed on the floor?
A: The tiles themselves will hold up but the images will get worn off over time from being walked on. The time depends on how often they are walked over.
Q: Do you make frames/boarders and accent tiles?
A: Yes, we can print any color or pattern onto the tile of your chose.
Q: Do you send out sample tiles?
A: If requested we will send out one tile form the ordered mural. S&H, and the cost of the tile are required. Once you are satisfied then we will send out the rest of the mural minus the cost of the tile that we have already sent out.
Q: Is it possible for me to see the quality of the tiles before ordering?
A: Yes. You are welcome to order a sample tile from any of our murals. The cost of a sample tile, including s/h, is as follows:
Q: If we want to cut the tile will it ruin the surface and coating?
A: No, our murals can be cut in the same way that any other tile can. The coating and surface will not be harmed in any way.
Types of tiles and sizes
We can order any tile that the customer wants, but this will increase the order time. This is the standard selection of tiles that we have in stock.
Questions about images and image quality
Q: How large can you make the image?
A: That depends on the quality of the image, if it is 300dpi then we can make it as big as you like any lower and the larger you go the image will get blurry.
Q: How close will the image on the tile mach the image on the print/computer screen?
A: The colors run as the original image, but you should realize that the colors on the tile can almost never mach the on screen picture. Everyone has different settings on their screen and printed colors can never exactly match your on-screen colors. The best solution is to order one tile and if you’re satisfied with the color and quality we will send you the rest.

About installation
You can install it as a regular marble tile. Ask your tile master for advice.
When installing, a non-abrasive, sand less grout should be used. Tiles should be cleaned with a gentle, non-abrasive, bleach-free cleaner — a soft cloth and soapy water are fine. Tiles may scratch if a sharp object is applied to them.
Do not forget to count space between tiles for grout. You could seal the tiles prior to grouting with water-based or silicon-impregnated sealant, TileLab Surface sealant available in Home Depot. Also you could seal the tiles with Water-Based Polycrylic Protective Finish from Lowe’s store to prevent scratches but tiles works fine even without additional coating.
